Whitney Houston's Death Helped Mary J. Blige Get Sober!!

Mary J. Blige
Whitney Houston’s death will always be sad, but if Whitney could know it, we’d hope it’d bring her peace to know that her death may have saved a life.
Mary J. Blige turned to religion to help her with her drinking problem after Whitney’s death.
She said:

“I didn├óΓé¼Γäót want to go to rehab. I believe that anything man himself can do for me, God can do in a greater way. I decided to pray and to seek God on my own. I just stayed in the Word. And it worked.”

She had originally tried to only drink socially but realized, that wasn’t the problem, saying:

“I chose to learn how to drink socially and it didn├óΓé¼Γäót work. The test comes when you have to decide whether you├óΓé¼Γäóre drinking to be social or drinking to cover up something again. To cover up depression, to cover up guilt. Shame. Abandonment├óΓé¼┬ª Once I realized, ├óΓé¼╦£There you go again,├óΓé¼Γäó I had to stop. Whitney Houston├óΓé¼Γäós death really affected me. Her death is another reason I stopped. I really do think I├óΓé¼Γäóm done. I looked at how that woman could not perform anymore.”

The world is def a darker place without Whitney in it.
Though at least Mary was able to get herself clean because of that sad turn of events.
Way to get clean, Mary!
