Is Taylor Swift calling Tina Fey a MEAN GIRL?!
Lady Tay is apparently OVER people talking about her romantic relationships and the way they influence her song writing style, AND she’s got some choice words for certain “mean girls”…
A group that seems to include our beloved Tina Fey and Amy Poehler!
In a recent interview, the crimson-lipped cutie discussed her feelings on “mean girls,” while responding to Tina and Amy’s playful Golden Globes jab about her love life.
Swifty BLASTED:
“You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, ‘There├óΓé¼Γäós a special place in hell for women who don├óΓé¼Γäót help other women.'”
UMMMMM whaaaaaaaaatttttt?
That is a HARSH quote regarding ANY situation! Why would Taylor be proud of such hateful words?! And is she REALLY suggesting that Tina and Amy’s comments were so “non-supportive” that their souls should suffer eternal hellfire?
Hmmm.
In the interview, Taylor also defended her sometimes criticized style of personal song-writing, expressing:
“For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her, I think that├óΓé¼Γäós taking something that potentially should be celebrated├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥that├óΓé¼Γäós taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist.”
Now THAT we can totally agree with!
Songs that come from the heart and that draw from one’s own experiences are generally FAR more enjoyable, purely because they are HONEST, and people can actually RELATE to those types of tunes!
Love IS a universal emotion, after all!
