Okay, really? This is really still happening???
Apparently Vogue Netherlands missed the multiple memos that blackface is never okay, because they are the latest guilty party.
The publication ran a spread in their May issue honoring Marc Jacobs and in a poor attempt to pay homage to his 2008-2009 muses Grace Jones and Josephine Baker they painted model Querelle Jansen‘s face black.
This is just wrong.
Wouldn’t it have just been easier to hire an African American model?
Apparently not.
