One Direction might be headed to snatch your Twitter king crown!
Well, okay, those boys still have a long way to go to match your 39+ million followers, but they’re still DAYUM huge on Twitter.
After announcing their new world tour plans, Twitter went as wild as Prince Harry would in Las Vegas!
In fact, it went so wild, there were more tweets about the tour than there were about Margaret Thatcher‘s death.
In the first 80 minutes, ONE MILLION tweets were posted about the 2014 tour! When Margaret passed, it took four hours for the tweets to hit one million.
Unfortunately, not all the tweets were from Directioners declaring their love for Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson. Yup, Perezcious readers, some tweets were none too friendly!
The hashtag #ONEBIGDSIAPPOINTMENT started up as some fans were upset this super far-off tour was the BIG announcement especially considering how damn hard it’ll be to snag tickets.
But don’t worry 1D, we’re sure a few shirtless twitpics will smooth things over!
