A lot of people are actually excited for Wendy’s new burger that comes sandwiched between a pretzel bun — but there’s one who it more excited than everyone else: Wendy’s!
Not only are they getting positive buzz, but they get to market a regular old hamburger sandwiched between a pretzel bun. People see that new bun as a premium ingredient, which is exactly what Wendy’s wants you to think!
Because there is NO WAY in hell they’d make the meat premium, and the bun gives them huge profit margins!
It’s Wendy’s emphasis on offering more premium breads that raise perceptions about the quality of its food, and that doesn’t cost Wendy’s much at all. A unique bun is cheaper than giving customers more meat, because beef prices are rising!
That’s cool and all Wendy’s, but we’re afraid you didn’t get the memo: Taco Bell has a Waffle Taco.
