Just a few months ago we were hearing rumors that Katy Perry was going to be designing a clothing line with her stylist Johnny Wujek, and it might still happen, but sadly not anytime soon.
While talking about her new fragrance Killer Queen, the topic turned to the popstar’s role in the fashion arena, and she said:
“I would like to [branch into fashion], but this circus act can only juggle so many balls. It├óΓé¼Γäós to be determined, but we├óΓé¼Γäóll see how it goes. It├óΓé¼Γäós a long process, and I want to find the right place for me. There are a lot of people I really look up to in fashion ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ [like] Alice + Olivia and The Row ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and I like that price range, too. I love what Victoria Beckham did, but I also have to figure out with myself what actually is the market I want to be in. Is it a high fashion market or is it an accessible market? Nothing is [currently] being created; there aren├óΓé¼Γäót even sketches on the table, nor a contract.”
If we read between the lines, however, it’s clear that this is something that is DEFINITELY on KatyKat’s mind, and you know that when she puts her mind to something, IT WILL HAPPEN!
We’re almost as excited about this news as we would be if she were ACTUALLY confirming a new clothing line.
Gosh, how much longer must we wait???
