Now this is the kind of meet-cute you only see in a Hallmark movie!
Emily Kraus is the Dave Matthews Band‘s number one fan.
The Pennsylvania native has watched them perform eighteen times, she wants the first dance at her wedding reception to be to Ants Marching, she even has the crash album cover tattooed in color on her back!!!
OK, we totally made that last paragraph up, but Emily is a big DMB fan!! She traveled dozens of miles to watch them perform in concert, and it’s not even 1994!!!
This weekend she and her boyfriend were enjoying a peaceful, perfect car ride to the band’s concert in Hershey, PA when they came across a most unexpected roadside curiosity!
DAVE MATTHEWS HIMSELF!
The 46-year-old Grammy-winner was chillaxing next to his broken down bicycle, trying to hitch a ride to his own gig!!!
We aren’t sure why the tour managers couldn’t spring for a bus, but Emily stopped to help out and boy did she turn out to be a godsend!!
The young lady spoke of the incredibly awesome detour:
“So, we saw him on the other side of the road and we pulled my car in here. And he picks up his bike and throws it up here…He says I’ve never seen a bike rack like this before, so Joe walks over and he’s helping him put it on and I’m standing here and I’m holding his helmet”
Dave Matthews doesn’t understand complicated bike racks?! ZOMG, that’s so cute!! He’s just like the rest of us!
The college rock God was sooo appreciate of a much-needed ride that he hooked up Emily (and her boyfriend… we hope) with backstage passes, treated them to dinner, & posed for a picture from the backseat of her ride (above)!

Picking up hitchhikers is ALWAYS a great idea!
