George Clooney doesn’t seem to be a man of constant sorrow when it comes to receiving insults but he’s not so quick to forgive either!
According to our boy George, a few years back Russell Crowe unleashed a perfect storm of disses towards George completely out of nowhere!
What’s that now? Russell Crowe starting fights arbitrarily?! ‘Tis unheard of!
Our sarcasm aside, in a recent interview, George talked about how his good relations with Russell went up in the air, and how afterwards, Russell tried to make amends by sending George a book of poetry:
“The truth is that [Crowe] did send me a book of poems to apologize for insulting the shit out of me, which he did. He picked a fight with me. He started it for no reason at all. He put out this thing saying, ├óΓé¼╦£George Clooney, Harrison Ford, and Robert De Niro are sellouts.├óΓé¼Γäó And I put out a statement saying, ├óΓé¼╦£He├óΓé¼Γäós probably right. And I├óΓé¼Γäóm glad he told us, ├óΓé¼Γäócause Bob and Harrison and I were also thinking about starting a band, which would also fall under the heading of bad use of celebrity.├óΓé¼Γäó And that├óΓé¼Γäós when he really went off on me. ├óΓé¼╦£Who the fuck does this guy think he is? He├óΓé¼Γäós a Frank Sinatra wannabe.├óΓé¼Γäó He really went after me.”

Man, can you imagine Bobby, Harrison, and George forming a band? Their group could be called Air Force Once Upon A Time in The American!
Apparently, George and Russell were set to see each other later that year at the Golden Globes, and according to George, Russell attempted to extend the olive branch:
“I think he said, ├óΓé¼╦£I was all misquoted,├óΓé¼Γäó and I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£Yeah, yeah. Whatever.├óΓé¼Γäó”
Well, we hope the two actors won’t be in a tight spot forever, that George can use his Peacemaker skills, and that the pair will work together in the future!
