Ruh roh!!!
Last month NBC gave the green light for a Murder, She Wrote reboot starring Octavia Spencer, but it has the original’s Angela Lansbury seeing red!!!
In fact, Angela’s so bummed about the revamp that she wants them to change the series’ name!
Angela explained:
“I suddenly became a worldwide-known character as Jessica Fletcher and really built an enormous audience, which I have to this day. That was the thing that really made me a star in the minds of everybody. I think it’s a mistake to call it Murder, She Wrote because Murder, She Wrote will always be about Cabot Cove and this wonderful little group of people who told those lovely stories and enjoyed a piece of that place, and also enjoyed Jessica Fletcher, who is a rare and very individual kind of person. ├óΓé¼┬ª So I’m sorry that they have to use the title Murder, She Wrote, even though they have access to it and it’s their right.”

Anyone would feel insulted and forgotten if they were being replaced by a younger thang!!!
What’s the point in reboot” target=”_blank”>redoing some that was so AHmazing to begin with??! Can’t we come up with some fresh ideas?!
In any case, Angela should rest easy knowing Oscar-winning Octavia will oh so obviously do the role justice!!!
