Disney Theatrical has embarked on a stage adaptation of The Princess Bride — and we couldn’t be more excited!
The adventures of Westley, Buttercup, Fezzik, Inigo Montoya, Prince Humperdinck, and the Man in Black will be developed into an upcoming play or a musical, for realz!
The iconic 1987 Rob Reiner directed flick featured an amazing cast that included Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin, Wallace Shawn, Billy Crystal and Carole Kane, among others!
So we can’t wait to see what kind of phenom talent they’ll find for the live version!
No production timeline has been set yet, but it’s being grouped with other shows Disney has in the works — including Shakespeare in Love, Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo and Freaky Friday!
We know it’s a little early to cast, but wouldn’t Taylor Swift and Chord Overstreet make darling leads for this film’s foray into The Great White Way!?
