A Clay Aiken congressional run sounds like a majestical dream come true, no?!
The openly gay singer and American Idol runner-up is rumored to be actively considering a bid to represent North Carolina’s 2nd congressional district in the U.S. House!

Two sources revealed that Clay has taken the initial steps to run, consulting with political specialists to work on a plan for the campaign!
The 35-year-old Raleigh native has allegedly made phone calls to gauge support, spoke with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and met with powerful figures in North Carolina about a potential bid!
The filing deadline to participate in the primary is February 28th, so we’ll know soon if this dream come true congress will be a reality!
We think he’d be a great fit, considering all his activism work with the disabled community, as well as LGBT awareness, and his UNICEF ambassadorship!
So fingers crossed for Clay!
