Now James Comey knows how Clay Aiken feels. Because he’s just been fired by Donald Trump.
The (now former) FBI director had just testified that the Bureau was investigating the president, specifically his campaign’s ties to Russia, and that his failure to divulge that to the public along with Hillary Clinton‘s bullshit email investigation is a choice he would make again, whether it led to Trump being elected or not.

Well, we’re guessing he may be having second thoughts now, because if there’s one thing Trump doesn’t like, it’s any threat to his power or his image — and an FBI investigation was both.
While it shouldn’t be legal for the POTUS to fire the man investigating him, something tells us a man who doesn’t know who was president during the American Civil War probably isn’t familiar with the spirit of the Magna Carta.
Here’s the full press release, in which Drumpf actually kind of puts the responsibility for the decision onto the Attorney General:
Yeah, here’s the thing though. You can say it was Jeff Sessions, but we all know it highly appears as if Trump appointed an Attorney General who would answer to him. So he can try to pass that buck all he wants, but it seems obvious this is all Trump’s doing.
(BTW, calling it now — the Deputy Attorney General’s name was thrown in there so he’d take the fall first before Sessions.)

Interestingly, in Trump’s letter to Comey, he says something that may be a huge twist on this entire thing…
In case you can’t read that middle paragraph, Trump says:
“While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau.”
Um, WTF??
Comey told Trump he wasn’t under investigation? Was he lying to him? Or to us??
Either way, it apparently doesn’t matter now as he’s gone.
And now we all know how actual clay feels. Because if Trump is just going to go full dictator and get rid of anyone who opposes him, we’re all going to become bricks in his stupid fucking wall soon enough.
