The real-life Gossip Girl divorce has taken a turn for the ugly.
On-screen single mother Kelly Rutherford filed for divorce from her husband of two years, David Giersch, earlier this month. The couple have a two-year-old son and another kiddie on the way.
According to court papers, things could get pretty nasty between the couple, which is why Rutherford is seeking a court order to prevent Giersch from leaving the country with their son. She thinks he’ll up and disappear with her kid forever.
Ugly!
Giersch countered that Rutherford is no good girl, once flying into such a rage that she launched a laptop at him, and even threatened to punch him in the face.
A laptop! That tops even Naomi Campbell!
Giersch is seeking full custody of their son, stating that with Rutherford’s busy bicoastal schedule of filming, primping, and shopping, he was always the one looking out for little Hermes anyway.
A judge has denied Rutherford’s requests and a January 21st court date has been set to discuss the details of the divorce.
It’s wonderful when adults bicker like children!
