Philip Seymour Hoffman Admitted His Addiction Issues Would Kill Him Shortly Before His Tragic Death

We just wish he could’ve gotten the help he needed.
Unfortunately, it’s now too late for Philip Seymour Hoffman when it didn’t need to be.
While he’s struggled over the years with drug and alcohol addiction, it was as of late that things apparently really spiraled out of control.
It is reported that after trying to maintain sobriety, Philip had started injecting heroin again in December 2013. He had apparently then started going to AA, but nothing was helping the situation.
Things got so bad at one point, he was looking disheveled for the last six weeks, and we even hear he told someone close to him:

“If I don’t stop I know I’m gonna die.”

Sadly, those words are now true.
While it’s reported his recent problems first began with drinking, it seems that opened the door to the drug abuse which appears to be the cause of his death.
We hope that anyone else struggling with these problems can seek the help they need.
And our thoughts are with Philip’s loved ones.
