There’s something to be said about how hard Jon Voight has tried in the past few years to fully make amends with his daughter, Angelina Jolie… and to build the bridge to being in her life once again (they ‘reconciled’ in 2010).
The latest attempt, for instance, was a big hand-made Valentine for the whole family!
It’s just a shame that he had to give it to her security instead of to Angie in person! He met up with Angelina’s bodyguard in an LA parking lot of all places to make the hand off.
Along with the card was a bag of See’s candy. Oh, and this message:
It says:
‘Happy Valentine’s Day to my dear beautiful family! I love you! Grandpa Jon’
[Other Side] ‘I love my Angie, I love you Maddox.’
Other messages are scrawled but hard to make out!
While we certainly understand Angelina having some reluctance to fully rebuild a relationship with her father, we can’t help but take notice to Jon’s attempts. We aren’t POSITIVE that she didn’t want to meet up with him, but just couldn’t instead!
At 74 years old, it doesn’t look like he’s giving up any time soon regardless of the reason!
