President Barack Obama made one heck of a splling mstake on Thursday night!
When introducing the legendary Aretha Franklin at a Women of Soul tribute at the White House, the Prez referenced her classic song Respect.
Only he spelled it a little differently! He said:
“When Aretha first told us what R-S-P-E-C-T meant to her, she had no idea it would become a rallying cry for African Americans and women and anyone else who felt marginalized because of what they looked like, who they loved. They wanted some respect.”
At least he didn’t introduce her as Adele Dazeem! We’re not sure if he even noticed his error, but the crowd sure did! See the laugh-inspiring gaffe …AFTER THE JUMP!!!
