I got you, babe.
Well, Cher isn’t feeling the love anymore now that her longtime designer, Bob Mackie, had to turn down working on her final tour, appropriately named Dressed To Kill.
And sadly it’s caused a rift between the two!
Clearly hurt, Cher tweeted out:
“Telling you Something That Has BROKEN MY HEART THE MAN WHO MADE ALL MY COSTUMES SINCE 1972 DECIDED HE COULDNT DO MY LAST TOUR”
But she didn’t leave it at that. She continued to write:
“I tried to convince him to end with me, but he had many reasons as 2 why he couldn’t do it. 2 many obligations not enough time even 2 do 1.”
Bob originally agreed to designing costumes for her tour in September, so this must have come as a sudden shock to the star.
Though he even shared:
“Nobody wanted to design this last tour more than I did! I am sick about it. My professional and business commitments were just too great. There simply was not enough time to give this wonderful project the proper amount of care and attention it deserves. After all these years of collaborating, it is like turning down your own little sister, and how many guys have a little sister like Cher.”
It’s hard for us to believe that any one could say no to Cher, especially for her final tour, but the show must go on!
His replacement, Hugh Durant, designed the costumes for her Farewell Tour back in 2002 so at least she’s in good hands!
