Devoted Kardashian fans, you may not want to read any further.
In a deposition during the legal battle between the Kardashians’ Khroma makeup line and Lee Tillet, who claims that the Kardashians stole her makeup name, also Khroma, for their own, Kim revealed that she is not very heavily involved in the production side of things for the line.
She even admitted that she’s actually not very good with makeup, when it comes to others anyway!
The reality star confessed:
“We├óΓé¼┬ª like to get product and test it out and see what we think looks best or works best on us and help, picking the color, but only from a selection of what they give to us, because the experts in beauty ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ Like, obviously, I├óΓé¼Γäóm just one foundation color, so I know what would look best on me, but I├óΓé¼Γäóm not really good at saying what I think would look good for a darker or a lighten skin. They being the experts, they just bring to like the wide range of what, typically, beauty products would be and then we can test to see what they think, like the consistencies are the best of whatever we think.”
The 33-year-old has admitted before that she’s no expert (see GIF above), so nobody should be entirely shocked by this revelation. That being said, we wouldn’t be surprised if some of her customers felt a little played.
After all, not everyone knows how the industry works!
Kim also confessed that she and her sisters will give input on the packaging after the manufacturers present them with options, saying:
├óΓé¼┼ôThey bring us designs of what they think, you know, packaging should look like or stuff like that and then we can go through and give them our opinion of what we like best.”
Those opinions are priceless, if you ask us!
Kourtney explained further, saying:
“I mean we give our opinions on products, colors… because it’s our name and it’s our brand, we want to – we just – you know it’s important to us that it’s to our liking and to a certain degree, so we just approve everything and also give inspiration.”
They’re basically the muses to the creators, and being a muse is sometimes the hardest job of all!
