He WAS a skater boi. Now he’s hit the skids.
Deryck Whibley, lead singer of Sum 41 and possibly known better as Avril Lavigne‘s ex-hubby, shared a harrowing story this weekend.
After years of abusing alcohol, he suffered multiple organ failure. Frankly, it’s a miracle he survived!
Well, after a month in the hospital, he’s ready to get back up.
Thank goodness he’s got the support of family and friends, including fianc├â┬⌐e Jocylen Aguilar (left), to help him up. We wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.
We also hope his struggles serve as a warning to people out there struggling with alcohol abuse — there are ways to get help, and going as far as Deryck just isn’t worth it. He was extremely lucky to get a second shot!
