UPDATE: Shia LaBeouf‘s rep has confirmed that reports that he entered rehab are false, and that he is indeed suffering from an alcohol addiction and seeking treatment for it.

Shia has not checked himself into rehab, despite earlier reports…
But he HAS started attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in LA!
It was speculated the Transformers actor admitted himself into a treatment facility late yesterday afternoon — but when the news broke, he was actually spotted out in El Lay, and again today, stopping for a coffee before an AA meeting.
The star was caught holding a blue book with the words “Alcoholics Anonymous” in bold gold lettering across the binding, so his problem with booze isn’t under lock and key anymore.
Definitely no rehab, but AA could be a step in the right direction…
His next court date is scheduled for July 24, so he has a ample amount of time to get it together.
