Why not give up the fur line all together?!

According to reports, Jason Wu, the guy who designed First Lady Michelle Obama’s inauguration night ball gown, has postponed the launch of his previously planned fur collection so he can focus on the increased demand for his ready-to-wear pieces, compliments of inauguration day exposure.

The Humane Society of the United States’ fur-free campaign commented:

“We are delighted that Jason Wu has put aside the cruelty of fur for now, and hope he will adopt a permanent fur-free policy. Michelle Obama set the sartorial tone for the new administration by choosing to not wear fur at the inauguration, and it’s wonderful to see Mr. Wu follow suit.”

It’s just too bad the First Lady helped shine the spotlight on someone who supports fur.

We really hope we won’t be seeing a fur collection from Wu in the future!
