NFL’s Adrian Peterson was investigated for criminal sexual assault, but in the end, he was cleared of charges.
According to law enforcement sources, a woman told police that she was allegedly sexually assaulted by Adrian at a party in a suburb of Minneapolis in 2011.

However, after a criminal investigation, “all witnesses who we interviewed concurred with Adrian’s story,” according to Adrian’s lawyer, Peter Wold.
In addition to denying that anything occurred without this woman’s consent, Adrian also passed a polygraph test when asked about the event.
According to Peter, police tested three DNA samples, two of which excluded Peterson, and one was inconclusive.
However, Adrian still faces felony child abuse charges, and can’t play for the Vikings until his legal matters are resolved.
