Kendall Jenner
takeover continues!
Days after the announcement that the reality star and model was the new face of cosmetics giant Estée Lauder, the 19-year-old sat down for an interview with fellow Estée spokesmodel Joan Smalls!
The two broach several topics, but mostly focus on makeup, which makes perfect sense — that’s part of their job now!
But besides talking about her love of beauty stuff, Kendall also reveals her biggest fear and gives selfie advice!
Read on for the HIGHlights!

On learning she got the Estée gig:
I was so excited. I found out backstage in Paris and they told me I couldn’t say anything. So I saw the text and I was like, “Oh my God! I have to keep this to myself.” When I got to my room I started freaking out.
On her favorite makeup to wear:
Eyes. I like a good eye. Sometimes I like a little bit of a cat-eye, or a wing is nice. And lots of mascara. I love mascara.
On her beauty icons:
Angelina Jolie. She’s just ridiculously beautiful. And then I really love Rosie Huntington-Whiteley‘s style, and I love Rihanna. I feel like she kills it all the time.
On beauty advice she’s received from her sisters:
Randomly enough, my older sisters went to a makeup school when they were younger, so they’re all really good at it. They’ve always told me that “natural is better.”
On what she always takes with her when she travels:
For sure I need to have lip balm with me always, and if I’m on a plane I like to have my moisturizer with me because you get really dry on planes so it’s important to keep your skin hydrated. Otherwise, I just need to feel refreshed and clean so I try to wash my face before I go to bed, and I use an eye cream.
On her biggest fear:
Being crushed by a big rock. Don’t ask!
On taking the perfect selfie:
Lighting is a big thing. If you’re not in the right light it just won’t work. I’m not into using too many filters, either. I like to keep it pretty natural├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥or black and white is always cool. But above all, you have to know your face: everybody has their good side. And practice! Practice makes perfect.
