Well, we can’t say we’re surprised!
While it’s common knowledge that Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey‘s marriage ended back in August, Nick revealed the two are officially separated during a Monday morning chat with Good Morning America host, Lara Spencer.
Lara opened the intimate interview by stating:
“You and I were just talking, Mariah and you are separated, Christmas is about family first and foremost.”

Wow, there’s no denying where the couple stands now!
Cannon responded:
“Always focus on family. We’ll forever be family. At the same time, we’re there for our children, making them the No. 1 priority and understanding they’re loved and can have an amazing holiday.”
Aw, we’re so happy the exes are focusing on what’s important — their kids!
Considering the 34-year-old was at GMA to promote his Christmas book, Roc and Roe’s 12 Days of Christmas, based on Monroe and Morocco, we believe he’s sincere about keeping his fam together no matter what!
