James Franco has penned a new book of poems called Straight James / Gay James!
In it, he explores his public and private personas as they relate to his sexuality — no small task!

The actor and director (and teacher and painter…) uses poetry to examine his identity during acting scenes and other professional endeavors, as well as his personal life — and he uses prosaic poems to dive into identity and sexuality.
Not enough for you yet? Well, he even uses two personalities of his to play off each other: at one point among the poetry, Gay James interviews Straight James!
Hmm… is this a coming-out party for Franco?! A way to be an ally to the LGBT community with a revealing dialogue through poetry?? Or just an exploration of identity in the poetic form?!

Guess we will all see when the book drops on January 1 — if you want to own a paperback version, it’ll set you back about 12 bucks.
