We can’t imagine what Helen Strickland must feel right now.
Just a day before Craig Strickland‘s memorial service on January 12, Helen asked of fans and God to give her “strength” in light of the difficult days to come. The message is equally heartbreaking as those Mrs. Strickland posted in the days following the discovery of Craig’s body on January 4.

For those who don’t know, on December 26 the country singer and his pal Chase Morland braved the winter storm Goliath to go duck hunting. When the pair didn’t return, a massive and week long search ensued which ultimately ended in tragedy for the friends.
To commemorate Craig’s life, Helen and his family will hold a memorial service in Arkansas which fans can view from a live stream. In anticipation of the sad day, Helen revealed:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 Dear friends, please pray that I may have strength tomorrow as I walk through the most difficult experience I’ve ever gone through in my life. I am so thankful for every moment I had with Craig and I am thankful the Lord is taking care of him now. More than ever our family will need your prayers. I’m so thankful for every person that has poured out their love to us. If you are unable to physically attend, I hope that you will join our family via webcast at crosschurch.com/watchlive. I love you all as Craig did. Goodnight.A photo posted by Helen Wisner Strickland (@helenelizabethstrickland) on Jan 11, 2016 at 7:30pm PST
So tragic. We’re relieved to know Strickland has the support of friends and loved ones during this heartbreaking time.
