What awful news.
It’s with the utmost sadness that we must report that legendary author Harper Lee has passed away at the age of 89.
The author of To Kill a Mockingbird died in her hometown of Monroeville, Alabama early Friday morning. The cause of death is currently unclear.
We do know Harper suffered a stroke back in 2007 but had fully recovered.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist made headlines in 2015 after it was revealed that she was releasing a sequel to Mockingbird entitled Go Set a Watchman after more than half a century.
Sadly, there will never be another.
Rest in peace, Harper.
