Leave Little Mix alone!!!
The UK-based girl group has been battling accusations of dressing too sexy from parents of their young fans since kicking off their new Get Weird tour in Cardiff on Sunday.

After getting wind of the criticism, Perrie Edwards told the Mirror that they only wear what they like:
“We wear what we feel comfortable in. We’re not overly sexy in what we do anyway. We go for sexy/cute. We’d never want to be ├é┬¡scandalous. I think we’ve got the right kind of balance. Some of us are 24. We aren’t going to be able to wear stuff like this for the rest of our life, and parade around in little dresses and stuff, but at the same time, we are just girls.”
The 22-year-old ex fianc├â┬⌐e of Zayn Malik also addressed the recent furor over Kim Kardashian West‘s nude selfie and nudity in general:
“The way I see it, when I see Leigh-Anne in a bikini on holiday, I don’t think, ├óΓé¼╦£Oh God, Leigh-Anne, put it away’. I look at her and think, ├óΓé¼╦£Yes girl, you’ve got one of the most insane figures I’ve ever seen. You f***ing rock that on the beach, because I would’. Girls should be like that. We need to encourage each other and if you don’t want to have your body out then you don’t have to.”
Fellow member Leigh-Anne Pinnock echoed Perrie’s words and added:
“If we weren’t comfortable we just wouldn’t wear it. It’s not about being overly sexy, but it’s showing off your assets that you want to show off and if you feel confident in it, then boom.”
On a final note, Perrie explained how the skimpy outfits are great for keeping cool:
“We put on such a big show and there’s a lot of dancing and it gets really hot out there. I like to feel free and have something I can move around in. Something pretty with lots of stretch in it.”
Makes sense to us!
Stage outfits for most female performers are usually quite revealing, but that’s just part of the entire show and experience.
And, really, Little Mix’s outfits are not any more revealing than what stars like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera used to wear in the early 2000s. And still do!
