The days of Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan‘s cozy on-screen friendship are over after Strahan announced he was leaving Live With Kelly and Michael for Good Morning America.
But apparently, their warm relationship over the past four years was “all for show!”

An inside source told Page Six that off the air, the Live cohosts “did not get along” at all, saying:
“They could not stand each other, and whenever they communicated off-camera, it was always through their reps.”
Wow, they must be REALLY good at faking it for the cameras!
The source explained that the former New York Giants star’s busy schedule was causing him to get stressed and throw “temper tantrums,” adding:
“He’d lose it, yelling at [Ripa] and [Live executive producer Michael] Gelman. He acted like he was in a locker room, not a dressing room.”
Though it was reported Strahan was under strict orders from Disney NOT to tell anyone about his new gig ahead of time, another source claimed Ripa still feels betrayed because she helped get Strahan the job in the first place, noting:
“She got [Strahan] started, he stepped over her without an FYI, and now a nice morning show has become ABC’s newest drama.”

While another insider says that the pair’s relationship isn’t as cold as others have reported, there has definitely been “tension” between the two:
“It’s 100 percent not true that they only talk through their reps. I’ve seen them together chatty a million times. But is there tension? Sure.”
The daytime duo have still reportedly not spoken since his announcement, and Kelly is so distraught she cancelled her vacation with husband Mark Consuelos!
While Ripa hasn’t broken her silence about the shake up just yet, her hubby is subtly showing his support on Twitter!

On Thursday, Consuelos retweeted a comment from a fan showing some love to Entertainment Tonight‘s Cameron Mathison — who is a longtime friend of Ripa and Consuelos:
