So, are Patrick Dempsey and his wife getting divorced or not?
On Wednesday, it was reported that a judge warned Jillian Dempsey in a legal document that her divorce filings have become stagnant since she hasn’t moved for a final judgment. Obviously, this means that the twosome’s divorce case could be thrown out by the court.

Oh snap! Still, this may be EXACTLY what the Grey’s Anatomy alum and his lady want.
As you may recall, it was said back in January that Patrick and Jill had decided to call off their divorce after being spotted out and about together countless times. However, it seems the Dempseys forgot to give Judge Maren Nelson a heads up. LOLz!
Nonetheless, we’re not entirely surprised to hear about the duo’s hesitation to make their split official, especially since neither of them reportedly wanted to breakup in the first place. In case you forgot, Jill filed for divorce in January 2015 after the 50-year-old’s obsession with auto racing got in the way of their relationship.
This action was apparently a wakeup call for Patrick as he’s said to have cut back on racing and rekindled his relationship with his family. Sounds like Patrick and Jill will NOT be getting divorced after all.
