Move over Scandal! It’s HTGAWM‘s turn for a scandal — er, let’s say controversy as to not be confusing…
When Viola Davis became the first black woman to win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama back in 2015, she cemented How to Get Away with Murder‘s place in history.
Unfortunately, the hit ABC mystery might be a little too progressive for the rest of the world, because one of the show’s gay sex scenes just got seriously censored over in Italy!

Leading Italian network Rai 2 apparently wasn’t comfortable broadcasting a love scene between Connor (Jack Falahee) and Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) over the weekend, so they decided to air a shorter, edited version instead Friday night.
However, cast and crew heard the complaints from LGBT Shondaland fans and were quick to address the situation on social media, saying:
.@RaiDue (1) Thank you for airing the original program this Sunday but please apologize rather than assigning .. #EndCensorship #loveislove

(2) blame and dodging the issue at hand. Your viewers deserve better, @RaiDue #lgbtq #loveislove #HTGAWM

You tell ’em, fam.
Luckily, it seems as though Rai already learned their lesson, because they re-aired the same episode on Sunday night with the Coliver scene intact!
Do U think Annalise Keating would have a case against Rai??
