The people have spoken!
While everyone LOVES to play with emojis in their text messages, there are a few we could do without.

On Monday, Apple announced it is replacing its pistol emoji with a water gun! This change will happen in the iOS 10 operating system.
The controversial gun image has been used to threaten and bully innocent victims. In December 2015, a 12-year-old was charged after allegedly threatening her school with a post involving said emoji.
In addition, the emojis will be more diverse and politically correct. The company will add and modify images that show women doing stereotypically male jobs, such as a police officer or a bodybuilder. They will also add a pride flag and single-parent families.
The update will be available in the fall.
