Caleb Flynn Found GUILTY Of Murder In Death Of Wife Ashley

The verdict in the Caleb Flynn murder trial is in.

A jury has found the American Idol alum GUILTY in the shooting death of his 37-year-old wife Ashley Flynn, and has now been convicted of aggravated murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence.

As we’ve been covering, the gospel singer was accused of shooting his wife in the head after authorities uncovered he was having an affair. As the verdicts were read aloud in court, Caleb broke down crying.

In the most recent viral update prior to the verdict, two AI-generated songs Caleb wrote for his mistress were played in the courtroom. The reactions of those listening to them went viral.

Ashley Flynn was killed in February 2026 in her Tipp City home during what, at first, appeared to be a home invasion.

Law enforcement initially believed someone broke into the Flynn family home and shot Ashley to death, but ultimately they steered their suspicions toward Caleb.

Years prior to the murder trial, Caleb had already gained some small notoriety when he auditioned for American Idol in 2013. At the time he gushed about Ashley, telling the cameras:

“I absolutely love the Lord. I love my wife more than anything. She is very, very pretty. … I love her. But, you know, I’m just a normal person who absolutely loves to sing more than anything in the world.”
