As you’ve probably heard by now, Demi Lovato slammed Taylor Swift (once again) for pretty much being a fake-feminist and the Bad Blood singer’s role in “tearing Katy Perry down” in new interview with Glamour.
When asked by the interviewer about her past comments about T. Swift claiming to be a feminist, but not actually “doing the work,” Demi responded:
“I think in certain situations, certain people could be doing more if they’re going to claim that as part of their brand. To be honest, and this will probably get me in trouble, I don’t see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body. It’s kind of this false image of what people should look like. And what they should be like, and it’s not real.”
Later, the Confident songstress said:
“I think that having a song and a video about tearing Katy Perry down, that’s not women’s empowerment.”
After receiving some backlash on Twitter, the 24-year-old tried to explain her controversial statements.

The singer-songwriter said with some sass:
I get asked questions. I answer them. Sue me.

Also don’t forget that words can be taken out of context when doing interviews.. still not apologizing for saying what everyone want to say

@plaidshirtdxys to be totally honest I don’t remember ever saying that so if I did say anything my words were misunderstood

@we_areforbidden apparently everything I say is offensive and disrespectful soooo…..
— Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) October 4, 2016
I don’t understand why people care so much about what I say in interviews? Do y’all watch the news? Don’t y’all got shit to worry about?
— Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) October 4, 2016
Whoa.
First of all, why do interviews at all if you don’t want people to care what you have to say? Especially when you pride yourself in always speaking out?
Also, why tear down Tay when you’re mad about her doing the same thing to Katy?
Curious!
What do U think of Demi’s (failed) attempt to explain her statements?? SOUND OFF in the comments!
