John Glenn has passed away at 95 after his most recent hospitalization.
For those who don’t know, the former astronaut was one of the first to orbit the Earth, and was the only surviving member of the Mercury astronauts. John was also an Ohio senator, serving four terms.

Sadly, the space icon was seeking treatment at the James Cancer Center at Ohio State University in Columbus when he passed. There were no details into his condition.
President Barack Obama has responded to the news of Glenn’s death with a statement from the White House. He wrote:
R.I.P. Our thoughts are with John’s loved ones at this difficult time.
