Donald Trump is apparently VERY unhappy with everyone’s image of him.
No, not as a racist, unqualified, dishonest fledgling tyrant — he’s fine with that. We mean as a lonely know-nothing walking around the poorly lit White House in a robe.
After a New York Times report based on multiple insider accounts referred to the President as spending a lot of time “watching television in his bathrobe.”

It was this aspect that Trump seemed to take the most umbrage with, as Press Secretary/gum enthusiast/Melissa McCarthy muse Sean Spicer responded:
“That story was so riddled with inaccuracies and lies that they owe the President an apology for the way that thing was written… I don’t think the president wears a bathrobe, and definitely doesn’t own one.”
Twitter was quick to jump all over this strange defense, both registering their disgust with the thought of Trump in a bathrobe AND pointing out multiple old photos around the Internet that seem to disprove Spicer’s words.
Here are some of the best reactions:
.@seanspicer Trump has hotels. Each room has a bathrobe. There’s probably a warehouse full of bathrobes. He definitely has a bathrobe.

I pray I go the rest of my life not knowing how Sean Spicer became aware of Trump not owning a bathrobe

I don’t like that I’ve thought about Trump in a bathrobe in the last 24 hours.

And of course, someone created a parody account:
Oh I exist.

Ha!
Why so defensive about the robe? It’s your house. For now.
