Truly devastating news…
On Thursday, an NYPD spokesperson told BuzzFeed News authorities are investigating allegations that five 14-year-old boys were sexually assaulted by fellow students at the It Takes a Village Academy program at the Tilden Educational Complex (not pictured) in Brooklyn, New York.
On Monday, CBS New York reported one of the first alleged assaults where sources say classmates allegedly pinned a boy against a locker room wall, and tried to stick fingers in his anus after gym class the previous Friday. On the same day word broke out, the mother filed a police report.

According to ABC7, three male students — two 16-year-olds and one 15-year-old — were reportedly suspended for the assault.
Sadly, the aforementioned gym incident is one of multiple alleged crimes that took place at the school.
Allegedly, one mother says her son has been groped multiple times in a locker room.
Both the Brooklyn Special Victim Squad and the NYC Department of Education are looking into the five incidents.
Spokesperson Miranda Barbot from the Department of Education says:

“Safety always comes first and these deeply troubling allegations are being investigated… We are working in close partnership with the NYPD to ensure appropriate action is taken and are providing the school with ongoing support.”

Amid the investigation, the school’s principal has been reassigned and will be replaced.
