Vanity Fair Apologizes After Getting Ripped For Suggesting Hillary Clinton 'Take Up Knitting'!

The magazine released a political satire video over the weekend called “6 New Years Resolutions for Hillary Clinton,” in which they suggested writing a sequel to What Happened and other things to keep her busy so she doesn’t run for President again.

The idea, we guess, is that defeating Donald Trump is too important to entrust to someone who already lost? Where they got in trouble is this line:

“Take up a new hobby in the new year. Volunteer work, knitting, improv comedy ├óΓé¼ΓÇó literally anything that will keep you from running again.”

Eesh. Not sure if writer Maya Kosoff meant the “knitting” comment to sound utterly sexist, but that’s definitely how it came across.

After the backlash, spokeswoman Beth Kseniak sent out a statement of apology, saying:

“It was an attempt at humor and we regret that it missed the mark.”

Well, that was almost an apology.
