Sorry not sorry!
As we reported, after a fan criticized Lena Dunham‘s appearance in a photo featuring several members of the Time’s Up movement, Tessa Thompson responded saying the Girls star “was not anywhere present in our group during the countless hours of work for the last two months,” and her presence was a “surprise to us all.”
Last year, Jack Antonoff‘s ex was widely criticized when she defended Girls writer Murray Miller, who was accused of rape by actress Aurora Perrineau.

On Tuesday, the Thor: Ragnarok actress clarified her remarks saying she did not plan to “create conflict” or “diminish Lena Dunham and her work,” and simply wants to redirect the conversation to the Time’s Up campaign.
Unfortunately, many saw Thompson’s post as an apology to Dunham, when it was anything but. Later that day, Tessa posted yet ANOTHER clarification where she gives her public support to alleged victim Perrineau.
Thompson wrote on Twitter:
This was not meant as an apology, as much as an attempt to re-center the conversation around the work. The truth remains:
