Cynthia Nixon is taking her run for governor VERY seriously.
Thus, she’s already taking on those who are questioning her qualifications. Apparently, following her big announcement, one of sitting NY Governor Andrew Cuomo‘s proxies tried to blast the Sex & The City alum as an “unqualified lesbian.”

Understandably, the 51-year-old was having NONE of this shade, as she took to Twitter and offered up a clap back that would make Miranda Hobbes proud. She wrote:
“When I announced yesterday that I├óΓé¼Γäóm running for gov, one of Cuomo├óΓé¼Γäós top surrogates dismissed me as an “unqualified lesbian.” It├óΓé¼Γäós true that I never received my certificate from the Department of Lesbian Affairs, though in my defense there├óΓé¼Γäós a lot of paperwork required.” ├░┼╕┬ñ┬╖├óΓé¼┬ì├óΓäóΓé¼├»┬╕┬Å
