UPDATE 12:40 P.M. EST: Charges were dropped against Stormy Daniels almost immediately, per her hot lawyer’s announcement on Twitter.
He wrote:
I am pleased to report that the charges against my client @stormydaniels have been dismissed in their entirety (below motion was just granted). I want to thank Joe Gibson & his colleagues at the prosecutors ofc for their professionalism starting with our first call early this am. pic.twitter.com/xHPSWsyqM2

My client @StormyDaniels refuses to be intimidated. She will return to the scene of the “no crime” tonight in Columbus, Ohio as scheduled. She never ceases to impress! #Courage #Basta

In a statement, Columbus City Attorney Zach Klein explained:
“I’ve determined that these crimes were not committed, based on the fact that Ms. Clifford has not made regular appearances at this establishment as required under the law.”
Makes sense given her guest appearance could not possibly have been part of the “long term investigation” being conducted by Ohio police.
Police have finally gotten their hands on Stormy Daniels.
The celebrated porn star was arrested in Columbus, Ohio while performing her act at a local strip club on Wednesday — a bust her hot lawyer says was a “setup” and “politically motivated.”

Michael Avenatti took to Twitter after receiving word that his client had been taken into custody for allegedly allowing a customer at Sirens to touch her in a “non sexual manner.”
He wrote:
Just rcvd word that my client @StormyDaniels was arrested in Columbus Ohio whole performing the same act she has performed across the nation at nearly a hundred strip clubs. This was a setup & politically motivated. It reeks of desperation. We will fight all bogus charges. #Basta

She was arrested for allegedly allowing a customer to touch her while on stage in a non sexual manner! Are you kidding me? They are devoting law enforcement resources to sting operations for this? There has to be higher priorities!!! #SetUp #Basta

Avenatti added that he expected the video vixen to be released from bail and, later, confirmed Stormy was hit with three misdemeanor charges for the touching.
On Thursday, Avenatti revealed that his client was pleading “not guilty” to the charges. He also shared a statement from Stormy, in which she apologized to fans who were expecting to see her perform the following night:
We expect her to be released on bail shortly. We also expect that she will be charged with a misdemeanor for allowing “touching.” We will vehemently contest all charges. #Basta
