TMZ has learned that Demi Lovato‘s team (alongside former longtime manager Phil McIntyre) attempted to stage an intervention weeks before her apparent overdose, but she wanted no part of it.

The source shared they knew the singer was in a bad place a few weeks ago, confronted her about the issue, and planned to urge her into a rehab program. The meeting was unsuccessful and the former Disney star continued to party, attempting to make everything seem like it was ok.
Judging by her social media the last few weeks, she did just that — posting silly videos of her team and teasers of new projects in the works.
