British actress and activist Joanna Lumley (Patsy, dahling) was overwhelmed with joy when it was confirmed yesterday that all Gurkha veterans – who fought for Britain back in the day – now have the right to live in the U.K.
The Sun reveals that the extraordinary and revolutionary event was partly the result of Lumley’s vigorous campaign for the Gurkha veterans.
With a smile on her face and tears in her eyes, Lumley said of the expected Government U-turn over settlement rights: “We feel outstandingly optimistic.”
Uh-huh. Or the Prime Minister is a push over for the hawtness that is you, Joanna.
Way to work it for world peace, girl!
