We’ve been spoiled with nothing but positive updates about Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom‘s pregnancy, so we hope this recent news of trouble in paradise doesn’t last!
The parents-to-be are currently quarantined together at home, waiting out the coronavirus pandemic and their sweet baby girl’s arrival in just a few months. Despite the obvious excitement over starting a family together, a source speaking to Us Weekly this week says the Teenage Dream singer’s relationship with her fiancé “has changed since she got pregnant.”
But how so??

While Katy is the only one experiencing any physical changes, the insider said the couple is being emotionally tested at this time:
“Orlando and her are having some ups and downs right now. Katy is dealing with the nerves of being a first-time parent, and Orlando is stressing about having a baby in their lives at this time.”
Aww. That’s totally understandable, though! These are scary and difficult times we’re living in, and we can only sympathize with all of the mommas-to-be out there worried about their health and safety.
The American Idol judge and Carnival Row actor announced they were expecting back in March when Perry debuted her baby bump in the music video for Never Worn White. The timing of the pregnancy along with the pair’s now-postponed wedding ceremony would’ve made for such a joyous and unforgettable experience had the COVID-19 health crisis not ruined their plans.
Perhaps all of those rapid changes, being forced to quarantine away from family and friends, along with plenty of pregnancy hormones might be too much for the couple to handle right now. That said, the pop songstress “is overjoyed and elated that she is pregnant,” according to the insider, who also noted, “she’s always wanted to be a mom.”
The Pirates of the Caribbean star is no doubt excited to give his son, 9-year-old Flynn, whom he shares with ex Miranda Kerr, a younger sibling soon, too! Days after sharing her pregnancy news, Perry admitted during an interview with Ryan Seacrest that there was “a lot of friction between” her and Bloom. However, she assured fans the two of them are able to reconcile their issues every time:
“We get down to the mat and come back every time.”
No matter what’s going on behind closed doors, we hope the love between these two can continue to conquer all!
