It's Official: Conan And NBC Split!

NBC and Conan O’Brien reached a $45 million deal today resulting in Conan leaving The Tonight Show leaving room for Jay Leno to swoop in to his old time slot.

O’Brien himself will receive $33 million while the rest will go to his staff in severance pay. His manager Gavin Polone explains:

“In the end, Conan was appreciative of the steps NBC made to take care of his staff and crew, and decided to supplement the severance they were getting out of his own pocket. Now he just wants to get back on the air as quickly as possible.”

CoCo can take another TV gig as soon as September, but it’s uncertain exactly where he will go.

We say Fox! Good luck, Conan!
