Abbey Road Studios Get Historic Designation!

We’re not surprised after all the fuss!

The Abbey Road Studios building in London was officially named a historic building today by English Heritage after the organization appealed to the government to do so.

The statement by English Heritage chief executive Simon Thurley states that the building:

“…Acts as a modern day monument to the history of recorded sound and music. Some of the most defining sounds of the 20th century were created within the walls of the Abbey Road Studios. It contains, quite simply, the most famous recording studios in the world.”

So now we can all breathe a big sigh of relief!
