Looks like more of Gordon Ramsay‘s financial problems are becoming public. His US company, Gordon Ramsay New York, has been listed among the top of New York’s worst “delinquent tax payers.”
We know things have been going sour for Ramsay for a while now. In fact, just last year he was forced to sell his Ferrari in order to get some money back.
In 2009, he was also advised to file for bankruptcy but instead opted to use $8 million of his own money to pay off some of his debts.
He’s even having issues in England where British tax officials ordered him to pay off several outstanding debts from two of his restaurants in London.
As for New York officials, they’re going after the $250,000 that Ramsay allegedly still owes after he fell behind with payments.
A rep for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance says “New York loses billions of dollars each year in tax revenues owed, but not collected, known as the tax gap. We aggressively address the tax gap.”
Ramsay rep claims “There is an amount still outstanding to the New York State regarding Sales Tax. We are negotiating through our New York advisors to discharge this debt.”
Time to pay up!
We’re sure you have another car or two you can sell.
