For the first time ever, Nickelodeon will host its own Mega Music Fest featuring performances from different artists and special appearances from some of their preschool characters.
The concert event will feature live-action performances mixed in with animated skits. Nickelodeon President Cyma Zarghami reveals:
“Nickelodeon considers music for preschoolers one of its most important attributes and extremely valuable to educational curriculum overall. It is exciting to be able to bring a big star-studded musical event to this audience and their families.”
As for the confirmed celebrities in attendance, those include Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Wyclef Jean, Sherri Shepherd, and The Roots.
Hosting the gig will be funnyman John Leguizamo.
Somehow the celebrities choices just don’t seem to fit with the event. We’re still waiting to hear which tween stars will be attending.
The event will be filmed live on May 22nd at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and will air later this summer on Nickelodeon.
Sounds like…. fun.
