A Commercial on the ER Finale Is Gonna Cost Ya!

NBC is expecting some mayjah ratings for their E.R. finale.
The last episode ever, a two hour finale, will air on April 2nd and will feature several former cast members, including George Clooney and Noah Wyle.
NBC is asking almost half a million dollars for a thirty second commercial during the finale!
Seriously.
In this economy!!!!!
TNS Media Intelligence, which tracks rate card ad pricing, states that most ads this season were going for $135,000. Media buyers are saying that the last episode is asking between $425,000 and $500,000.
Though the figures aren’t as good as CBS had back in 2005 when Everybody Loves Raymond ended. They were able to sell their 30-second ads for $1.3 million! And when Friends ended in 2004, NBC charged $2.3 million!
Crazy amounts of money are being thrown around when most people just fast forward through the commercials anyway thanks to TiVo!
