Saturday Night Live is DONE with Abby Elliott!
After four years on the show, Abby has officially “decided” to leave.
Seeing as the actress isn’t leaving for another TV gig or movie, we have a hunch leaving wasn’t 100% her choice.
The truth, is Abby didn’t provide the show with awesome original characters, like Andy Samberg and reining queen of our hearts Kristen Wiig — who announced their departure from the cast earlier this summer. Also, the Abbster had a lazy habit of not memorizing her lines and reading cue cards on air. Srsly, did she think we wouldn’t notice that?
That said, we must mention that Mz Elliot did do a faaaablous job impersonating the likes of Khloe Kardashian, Angelia Jolie, Christina Aguilera, Zooey Deschanel, Anne Hathaway aaand Jennifer Lawrence.
We’re not gonna beat around the bush, Abby was NO Kristin. Still, finding someone who can do Angie half as well Elliot is gonna be a chore.
Lorne Michaels better start casting new comics soon!
At this rateFred Armisen will be the only remaining cast member by the end of the summer!
